HR support for small and medium sized businesses


We support principally small and medium sized businesses.  There are two principal strands to what we do; HR support & training. This includes:

  • Complete outsourced HR provision, where we come to site as little or much as you need & undertake all of your HR matters. This can include being a point of contact for your own staff. When business needs cannot justify employing a dedicated HR manager/ advisor, the flexibility of having someone come to site just one day a week or one day a fortnight can provide a cost effective solution to ensuring that you remain on top of your HR obligations without the permanent overhead.
  • Additional resource, where we act as an extra pair of hands for your own internal HR, helping out with either whole projects or simply picking up on ad hoc work such as handling disciplinaries & grievances, reviewing or drafting staff handbooks & contracts or writing letters for staff on a range of day-to-day people management issues.
  • On-going support where we largely work remotely rather than on-site, advising you by phone & email on a range of HR matters. The majority of our work is done this way, clients choosing either to buy a block of hours in advance if they use us regularly, or else to be billed on a pay-as-you-go basis at the end of each month in which work is done.
  • Project work/ consultancy such as Employment Tribunal response forms & bundles; setting up, running & revitalising staff representative committees; business restructuring & redundancy; change management & cultural change programmes; performance management & appraisal systems.
  • In-house training from half day, to day to year long staff & management development programmes covering a wide range of subjects including employment law for managers, handling disciplinaries & dismissals, supervisory & first time manager skills, emotional intelligence for leaders & stress management for staff.
  • One-to-one coaching. Where a group training approach is not suitable for a given individual, we can offer one-to-one coaching which focuses on either personal or professional growth.
